Deliveries of Iskander-M Ballistic Missiles are Never a Day Late
The delivery of the Iskander-M ballistic missile system to the Russian Armed Forces has not been delayed a single day during its entire delivery period.
This was stated by the press service of the system developer of the Russian Mechanical Engineering Design Bureau (KBM).
It is said that exactly 10 years ago, on June 28, 2013, the Russian Ministry of Defense received the first brigade of the Iskander-M operational-tactical missile system.
"Deliveries of the brigade sets are carried out twice a year—in the summer and autumn.
Despite great efforts to complete production tasks, the schedule was not delayed by a single day," the service said.
The Iskander-M theater missile system is designed to engage low-sized targets and enemy locations from a distance of up to 500 km.
The Iskander-M ballistic missile has a speed of up to Mach 6–7 and a flight altitude of up to 6–50 km.
This nuclear-capable missile can perform intensive maneuvers to avoid anti-ballistic missiles.
